Our Mission

OSINT Industries exists to strengthen investigative capability across the global open-source intelligence community. We give serious practitioners reliable, ethical, and operationally grounded tools to pursue the truth, understand complex environments, and hold power to account.

We support the people doing serious investigative work: investigative journalists, non-governmental organisations, government bodies, and law enforcement agencies. Many operate with limited resources but considerable responsibility. We believe access to high-quality OSINT capability should be driven by public interest, integrity, and genuine need, rather than by budget alone. That is why we provide platform access at no cost to journalists, NGOs, and law enforcement where it serves the public interest.

Our platforms help users identify, connect, and analyse open-source data in a structured and defensible way. They enable attribution, relationship mapping, and pattern analysis across digital and real-world environments, while keeping data provenance and methodology transparent. This work reaches into complex commercial, digital, and geopolitical settings, from global financial systems and supply chains to corporate ownership structures, digital infrastructure, and online platforms, where scale, opacity, and cross-border complexity demand structured analysis to surface risk and accountability.

What we believe

Five convictions sit underneath everything we build and every decision we make about who we build it for. They apply to everyone: our internal teams, our contractors, and our partners.

• Open-source intelligence must be contextualised and corroborated. Intelligence without context can mislead, so we help users understand the provenance and limitations of information rather than simply access it.
• Technology should amplify human judgement, not replace it. Our platform is built to reduce noise and support skilled practitioners, not to hand back automated conclusions that bypass critical thinking.
• Ethics are fundamental, not optional. They are embedded in how we build, what we build, and who we build it for, rather than bolted on once the product works.
• Access to capability requires responsibility and competence. We grant access thoughtfully, making sure users have both the skill to use our platform well and the judgement to use it appropriately.
• Intelligence outcomes should reduce harm, not create it. The work we enable should make people, institutions, and societies safer, and we take the downstream impact of our capabilities seriously.

What we will do

• Provide access to OSINT capabilities aligned with public interest, safety, and legitimate investigative need.
• Document and communicate data provenance and methodological context wherever possible.
• Invest in training that reinforces ethical judgement, not just technical skill.
• Support investigations that aim to prevent harm, expose wrongdoing, or inform policy and justice.
• Continually review our practices in light of legal, ethical, and societal expectations.

What we will not do

• We will not facilitate unlawful surveillance, targeting, or intelligence collection.
• We will not obscure data origins, limitations, or analytical uncertainty.
• We will not market OSINT as a shortcut, silver bullet, or replacement for due process.
• We will not support activities that undermine human rights or the rule of law.
• We will not prioritise commercial outcomes over ethical responsibility.

These commitments apply across product development, training delivery, partnerships, and access decisions.

The discipline behind the tools

At our core, we believe OSINT is a discipline, not a shortcut. Tools should support tradecraft, not replace it. That belief shapes how we design, deploy, and govern our platforms, and how we stand alongside the communities that rely on them. We are not simply in the business of OSINT. We are in the business of trust, and we intend to keep earning it.
