OSINT Training Log: Training Cyber Trackers in Metro Manila

Metro Manila, Philippines - July 2025
The internet never stops - and neither do those tasked with protecting it.
OSINT Industries delivered a specialised training session for the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Cyberpatroller & Tracker Team. Delivered by our expert trainer Nathan Rogue (@nthgnx6842), this training was precision-tooled for modern cyber investigations; giving officers the open-source intelligence (OSINT) and operational security (OpSec) skills they need to police the net.
Mission Objective: Fighting Cybercrime Faster
Cybercrimes - like phishing and “smishing” - are surging fast in the Phillipines, with over 400% more suspect sites set up in 2025 than the previous year. Ransomware attacks ramped up by 90% too, and third-party breaches by over 250%.
So when it comes to cybercrime, these officers weren’t rookies; the NCRPO had already apprehended over 1900 criminals in the first half of the year. Yet to keep up with the relentless pace of offending, these officers needed the best tools available: enter OSINT Industries.

Training Highlights
The training focused on:
- OpSec: Best practices for secure online investigations
- OSINT: Intelligence gathering and verification techniques
- Strategy: Practical workflows for digital evidence handling
- Tooling: Introducing cutting-edge visualisation technology
Officers learned to identify digital footprints, analyse online activity, and manage investigations; all whilst maintaining bulletproof operational security. This session also featured a live demonstration of Palette.
This visualisation tool allows investigators to create a digital evidence board, mapping out cybercrime networks and making them instantly visible. Like all of our trainings, the session included hands-on participation, with a practical Palette exercise to test the trainees skills.

Operational Impact and Trainer Evaluation
“NCRPO will relentlessly pursue wanted persons … those who evade the law will be brought to justice in the soonest possible time.” - PBGen Anthony A Aberin, Regional Director NCRPO [Source: NCRPO]
Our training will allow the NCRPO to boost their already breakneck cyber-tracking speeds, and achieve their mission objectives. With the right tools and training, they can fight cyber crime faster than ever.
“Cybertracking is about staying a step ahead of your target. With OSINT, you can find leads before your target even knows they’ve left that evidence.” - Nathan Rogue (@nthgnx6842) [Source: OSINT Industries]
Mission Accomplished
OSINT Industries extends its sincere thanks to Police Major Artemio N. Cinco Jr. for the warm welcome, hospitality, and tour of the NCRPO facilities. We’d also like to thank the dedicated officers of the NCRPO Cyberpatroller & Tracker Team for their hard work and engagement.
