Pushing a decade of open-source expertise further with advanced attribution, verification and OpSec.

Antwerp, Belgium – October 2026

From 20 to 22 October, OSINT Industries delivered a three-day advanced OSINT programme in Antwerp to seven analysts from the Federal Computer Crime Unit (FCCU) of the Belgian Federal Police, a team whose members have each been running open-source investigations for more than ten years. Designed around their existing expertise rather than the fundamentals, the programme focused on the techniques, tooling and workflows that help experienced investigators move faster on complex, high-stakes cases.

Mission Objective: Raising the Ceiling for Seasoned Analysts

Training analysts with a decade of OSINT behind them demands a different approach, because the real value lies in refining instincts that are already sharp and introducing methods that compress hours of manual pivoting into minutes. As the specialist unit within the Federal Judicial Police responsible for serious cybercrime, from attacks on critical infrastructure to organised international ICT crime, the FCCU handles investigations in which adversaries are technically capable, deliberately evasive and often operating across several jurisdictions at once. For a team working at that level, every efficiency gained in attribution and verification translates directly into stronger cases and earlier disruption.

‍Training Highlights

The training covered:

  • Advanced Pivoting: Chaining emails, phone numbers and usernames across platforms to resolve fragmented digital identities
  • Threat Actor Attribution: Connecting aliases, infrastructure and historical data to the people behind them
  • Verification at Scale: Corroboration methods that hold up to evidential and prosecutorial scrutiny
  • Operational Security: Advanced protocols for researching capable adversaries without exposing the investigation

The sessions were built around live exercises and real case scenarios, giving the analysts room to test new techniques against their own established workflows and to compare approaches with one another throughout the three days.

Operational Impact and Trainer Evaluation

“Working with analysts of this calibre is a privilege, because the conversation quickly moves beyond technique and into judgement about which leads matter, and we came away having learned as much from their experience as they did from ours.” - Yoni, OSINT Industries Trainer

By investing in advanced training for its most experienced analysts, the FCCU has strengthened its capacity to attribute, verify and disrupt cyber threats, ensuring that a decade of hard-won expertise is matched by the most capable tooling available.

Mission Accomplished

OSINT Industries thanks the Belgian Federal Police for welcoming us to Antwerp, and extends particular appreciation to the seven FCCU analysts whose experience, curiosity and engagement made this one of our most rewarding programmes to date.
