Bangkok, Thailand – July 2025

In the fight against online child sexual exploitation (CSE), collaboration is critical. It’s how Thai police identified nine suspects before this advanced (Level 2) OSINT training was over.

OSINT Industries conducted this programme in Bangkok for the Royal Thai Police Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), part of ongoing international cooperation between Thai and French authorities. Stretching across the world, this training supported investigations linked to National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) cases.

OSINT Industries’ expert trainers Yoni C. (@OSINT_Tactical) and Nathan Rosero (@nthgnx6842) delivered practical, investigator-focused learning to officers working some of the most complex and sensitive cases in South East Asia.

Mission Objective: Fighting Cybercrime Faster

Thai cases don’t stay local. They scale, fast.

Thailand’s young people face cross-border threats: foreign-based offenders, large-scale CSAM distribution networks, vulnerabilities like statelessness and the enduring threat of child sex tourism. A single digital lead can jump from a Thai victim to overseas infrastructure in minutes, turning national investigations international.

Thai investigators need speed, coordination, and visibility. Integrating OSINT into collaborative, cross-border workflows is a vital way to close the gaps offenders rely on.

Training Highlights

The training focused on:

  • OSINT Basics: An 101 approach to intelligence gathering, verification, and attribution
  • Dark Web Intelligence (DARKInt): Safely monitoring and identifying illicit activity across hidden Tor networks
  • AI-Assisted Detection: Using emerging technology to support investigations on a larger scale
  • CSAM Analysis: A victim-first approach to handling sensitive material
  • Workflows: Effectively structuring investigations from initial lead to evidential output

International expert contributions centered the power of OSINT collaboration. A talented ETI specialist in Cyberpaedocriminal Activity, Sophie Bazard (DCSD) shared her operational knowledge. A specialist OFMIN investigator and Cyber Crime Investigator came also to share her expertise in child exploitation investigations: invaluable case-based operational insight, gained in the real world.

What’s more, this session featured practical exercises to test trainees’ skills. Delivering our trademark focus on hands-on participation, our Trainers guided officers as they created a digital evidence board, mapping out cybercrime networks from real NCMEC reports.

Operational Impact and Trainer Evaluation

“This action illustrates the value of technical cooperation based on the sharing of expertise, methods and tools in the service of the fight against the sexual exploitation of minors online…” — Sophie Bazard, DCSD. [Source: Sophie Bazard, trans. OSINT Industries]

The results were instant. Namely, trainees identified - during the programme - nine individuals actively linked to ongoing CSE investigations.

These IDs were swiftly passed to authorities. Before their OSINT training had come to a close, Thai officers were already acting to better protect their country’s children.

“The practical workshops… showed an on-the-ground approach, with the right tools and the right methods, can rapidly produce meaningful results for investigators.” — Yoni C. [Source: Yoni C, trans. OSINT Industries]

It’s clear to see: targeted, collaborative OSINT training generates immediate results

Mission Accomplished

OSINT Industries extends its sincere thanks to the Royal Thai Police Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau for their trust, collaboration, and continued commitment to protecting children online. We would also like to thank Sophie Bazard and all supporting partners for their stellar organisation skills.
